Mobile Market(MM) Kicks off the Youth Entrepreneurship Project in Beijing

　　On August 10th, 2010, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China ("CYLC") and China Mobile co-hosted a press conference at Beijing Kerry Center, announcing the establishment of a strategic partnership between both parties and the official launch of the Youth Business Mobile Market ("YBMM") program.  Mr. Lu Yongzheng(Secretary of CYLC) and Mr. Sha Yuejia(Vice President of China Mobile) attended the Conference and gave their keynote speeches.

　　Creativity & Actions step into the Future: Helping the Young Entrepreneurs to Startup Their Businesses Dream Come True　In parallel with the slogan of China Mobile's Mobile Market ("MM"), "Passion towards Dreams & G3 for New Life", YBMM has built around the theme of "Creativity & Actions Step into the Future". The program is to attract and encourage young entrepreneurs(on or off campus), to startup their own businesses by providing them with zero investment, open platform combined with free-of-charge training sessions.

　　The project reported as a 3 years program. The first phase started from August 2010 to June 2011, a total of 10 awards within three categories will be presented(total value reaches nearly 10 million Yuan/RMB). Noticeably, among the new & innovation award for OPhone, the award can be accumulated with awards of the game category: Any work based on OPhone platform that wins an award of the game category will also be given the OPhone Innovation Award.

　　The statistics shows that the "MM" has now reached 1.2 million website users, 3.6 million of which are WAP users, and 4.4 million are mobile users. The total downloads has reached 40 million. A total of 2,095 corporate developers and 49,000 individual developers have been registered with the community.

　　OPhone Bundles with MM

　　As two major strategic alliance of China Mobile in advancing the development of the mobile Internet industry, OPhone and MM have been closely interconnected since their inception. OPhone, as an important front-end platform access/carrier for "MM", OPhone provides a wide range of client-server download/access services capability for "MM". In turn, "MM" also makes a great contribution to the development platform for OPhone.

　　This program also includes an Outstanding OPhone Developer Award. Furthermore, a special OPhone development training is also available for participants.

　　It is reported that OPhone has sponsored the program, offering strong support to the promotion of "MM" as well as the program. OPhone features excellent user experience, fast increase in user base, and strong buying intention from users. At present, each month sees a rapid increase in the number of users who register through OPhone with MM and download paid applications. The purchase number of OPhone users is also much higher than the average of all MM users.

　　Besides, in May 2010, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications ("BUPT") and China Mobile co-founded an OPhone Technology Club in Beijing. BUPT has developed six undergraduate and graduate courses related to OPhone technologies. This Club has successfully developed and delivered more than 40 innovative applications, all of which are available in MM. This has helped bring college students much closer to the start of their own dreaming business adventures.
